About Ambit
Ambit started with a simple observation: we meet more people than ever, and stay close to fewer of them.
The people we care about scatter across cities, jobs, and group chats. We think "I should reach out," and then life happens. Not because we don't care, but because nothing in our lives is built to help us remember.
Ambit is built to help us remember.
It's grounded in the research of anthropologist Robin Dunbar, whose work shows that human relationships naturally organize into layers of closeness: roughly 5 closest people, 15 close friends, 50 good friends, and 150 meaningful connections. Each layer thrives on a different rhythm of contact. Ambit uses those rhythms to nudge you at the right moments, with the right context, so reaching out feels natural instead of overdue.
Ambit is independently built and operated. It is currently in early access, actively developed, and free to use.
