Privacy Policy

Ambit is a personal relationship management tool that helps you remember the people in your life and stay in touch with them. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information: when you sign in, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.

Relationship data: the information you choose to add about people in your life, including names, contact information, notes about conversations, locations, occupations, important dates, and any other context you provide.

SMS information: if you opt in to SMS messaging, we collect your mobile phone number and the content of messages you send to and receive from Ambit.

Usage data: we log basic information about how you use the app, including timestamps of your activity, for security and operational purposes.

How we use your information

We use your data only to operate Ambit on your behalf: to store the information you log, to generate reminders and nudges, to deliver messages to your phone if you've opted in, and to communicate with you about your account.

We process your data using third-party services including Google (authentication), Vercel (hosting), Prisma Postgres (database storage), Anthropic (AI processing for natural language features), and Twilio (SMS delivery). These providers process data only as needed to provide their services.

• Sell your data to anyone, for any reason
• Share your data with advertisers

Data retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights and choices

You can view, edit, or delete any record in your account at any time. You can delete your entire account by contacting team@personalambit.com which will permanently remove all your data within 30 days.

SMS opt-out: reply "STOP" to any message to immediately stop receiving SMS. You can also disable SMS in your Ambit settings.

Security

We take reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit. We use HTTPS to secure your data when it is transmitted between your device and our servers. We also use a secure authentication process to verify your identity when you sign in.

Children's privacy

Ambit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here and update the "last updated" date.
